A Note from Your Secretary

Happy new Rotary year, Next Gen! I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July filled with good food, good company, and maybe a firework or two.

Rotary tends to get quiet during changeover season, but quiet has never really been my style, consider this your official invitation to stay plugged in. Jump into the club's WhatsApp chat! Tell us about your summer plans, toss out suggestions for outings, or reach out to a fellow member and make something happen. The chat is only as good as the people talking in it, and we've got a lot to celebrate and even more to look forward to!

Celebrating the 2025–2026 Rotary year.

Before we look ahead, let's take a well-earned victory lap. Under Patrick's leadership and our theme of "Impact Over Intent," our club didn't just have a good year, we earned recognition for it with the following two awards:

  • Bronze Club Award, Small Club

  • Community Service Award, Small Club

These awards reflect something bigger than plaques, patches, and certificates. Patrick and the board worked diligently, and often tirelessly, this past year to rebuild our club's morale, offer more opportunities, and carve out a space for service in today's busy, hectic, and often overbooked lives. It showed in every meeting, every project, and every member who kept showing up. I may be a little biased, but I couldn't be prouder of the year he gave us, and these honors prove the impact was real.

A New Chapter Begins

With Risa now at the helm, we're carrying real momentum into 2026–2027. I can't wait to see everyone at our first in-person meeting of the new year, come ready to catch up, laugh, and kick things off together.

  • Risa’s first meeting, in person: Tuesday July 21st at 5:30pm at Taruantula Hill.

  • First virtual meeting: Tuesday, August 4th at 7:00 PM — note the new time! You'll see the updated calendar invite come through this week.

  • Agoura Creek Cleanup: Saturday, September 12th — service season starts here.

  • Crawl-O-Ween: Sunday, October 25th — you know it's going to be a good time.
